Jon Russell
Executive Director
Jon Russell is the Executive Director of the Cottage Grove Community Foundation.
He has lived in Cottage Grove for more than 20 years. He is married and his daughter is a 2020 graduate of the Monona Grove High School.
Mr. Russell is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with over 26 years of service and experience managing federal, state, and local budgets. He has a degree in Leadership with focus on Public & Non-Profit sectors from Marshall University. Additionally, he has held various roles including Village of Cottage Grove Trustee, Director on Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Commander of a 550 VFW Post, and current Commander of an American Legion Post.

ABOUT US
We are a group of Town and Village residents that would like to unite Cottage Grove and support both the people and places of Cottage Grove.
The Cottage Grove Community Foundation began in June 2019 and received IRS approval as a 501(c)(3) in November 2019.
The Foundation is a dedicated group of volunteers which includes an Executive Director, five Board Members, and an advisor with over 100 years of combined experience living in Cottage Grove. Additionally, more of the community volunteers time in the following subcommittees: Communications, Finance, Fundraising, Governance, and Marketing.
